How to convert HEIC to JPG online
HEIC saves space on iPhone but isn’t universally supported. JPG works almost everywhere.
Step by step
-
Open the image converter
Upload your HEIC file in FreeWay.
-
Choose JPG as output
Set JPG as the target format and run conversion.
-
Download and optionally compress
For web or chat, shrink the file further with image compression.
When to keep HEIC
If the file stays in Apple-only workflows and storage matters, HEIC is fine. For sharing and publishing, JPG or WebP is usually better.
Things to watch
- Watch the upload size limit.
- Compress after converting for web use.
- Need transparency? Prefer PNG over JPG.
